Your Tally Data, Protected and Recoverable.
This page lists the controls that are in place on TallyCloud today. We only describe capabilities we actually operate.
Daily backup with the latest 2 restore points
Every workspace is backed up automatically once a day. We keep the latest 2 restore points (a backup you take yourself counts as one), so you can go back if company data is damaged or changed by mistake. For a longer history, download a copy of your Tally data from the portal.
- Automated daily schedule — nothing for you to remember
- Latest 2 restore points retained; each new backup replaces the oldest
- Backup status visible in your customer portal
Restore workflow
- Request
Choose a restore point from the customer portal. - Confirm
Confirm the restore — an authorised user must approve it. - Track
The restore runs as a tracked job; you can follow its status until it completes.
What protects your workspace
Workspace isolation
Each customer gets an isolated workspace. Your company data is not shared with other customers.
Authentication
Every user signs in with their own credentials. Multi-factor authentication for privileged accounts is rolling out.
Encrypted connections
Portal and workspace connections are encrypted in transit using TLS.
Audit logging
Key actions — sign-ins, user changes, restores and orders — are recorded in an audit trail.
Firewall & network controls
Workspaces sit behind firewall rules that restrict inbound access to the services you need.
Incident support
Report a suspected issue by phone, email or portal ticket and our team will investigate and keep you informed.
